Hi
Mum!
Oh.. What a journey. We have finally landed in Australia. I am very tired
but also ready to go out tomorrow. It’s gonna be amazing. Right now I’m
enjoying the sun and the incredible warm weather. I just want to go out and
explore but I am so so so tired. I’m not sure what we’re going to do tomorrow,
but I know that it will be amazing!
The
trip from Lund to Sydney took like 30 hours, so i’m very tired. When we arrived
at the airport we went to the hotel to drop of our bags, but when we arrived to
the hotel we were surprised by a big disappointment, there was no wifi at the
hotel that we had booked months ago! We could do nothing about it, so that
menas that i will only be able to write you when i’m at a restaurant or a café.
I’m
going to catch some sleep now,
I’ll
write you again tomorrow when I hopefully have got something to tell you about
this beautiful city.
Love,
Inyana.
Hi
again mom!
Currently
I’m sitting at a snack bar after an intensive day. We’ve seen a lot of stuff
today and this is the first time we take a break. We went to a breakfast
restaurant with a view over the ”sydney skyline” and it surely was one of the
most cool things i’ve ever seen! After that we just walked around in town for
hours. We met a lot of people who live here and we talked to them and then a
woman invited us for dinner at her place but we weren’t sure if it was safe to
walk home to a stranger so we told her that we couldn’t stay. So we said
goodbye to her and then we had to find the way back to the hotel, but guess
what? We got lost, of course you get lost with our luck! So we walked around
until such time as ten, because then we saw the hotel and now we’re sitting
here. By the way, did you know that Sydney is not the capital of Australia?
Well at least I didn’t. The capital of Australia is Canberra, and as a matter
of fact it’s not even in the top five biggest cities according to the number of
inhabitants. Tomorrow we’ll probably visit ”Sydney Harbour Bridge” or ”Sydney
Town Hall”.
Hugs,
Inyana.
Good
morning!
We’re
sitting on a bus with wifi! We’re going to the Sydney Harbour Bridge as i told
you yesterday and I’m so excited. I’ve heard that there are many shopping
stores nearby and since I haven’t bought anything but food yet I’m planning to
do some shopping, because honestly, I do deserve it. I’ll continue writing this
later today, so bye for now!
Okay
so hi again!
We
ascended the bridge and I’m speechless! It was very cool but also terrifying.
The bridge could break at any moment, right?
Anyways,
I’m glad that I actually did ascend it.
The
view from the bridge was very beautiful, like everything else in Australia. To
be honest I actually haven’t seen anything that I didn’t like here.
The
food here is also very good, so I’m just very happy that I had the privilege to
come here!
Now
we’re going to do some shopping, finally!
Hugs
and love and kisses and everything, Inyana <3.
Hi
mom! Right no we are not going to do something special, so I’m going to tell
you some facts about Sydney instead of telling you what we are doing!
First
of all, did you know that the Sydney Harbour Bridge is the
widest long-span bridge and tallest steel arch bridge in the world, and the 5th
longest spanning-arch bridge according to Guinness World Records? That’s pretty
cool, isn’t it?
And also, did you know that Sydney is the 12th most
expensive city? I had no idea.
The main languages spoken in Sydney is English,
Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Greek and Vietnamese.
The most popular summer sport in Sydney is cricket. I
don’t think I’ve ever played cricket honestly. Have you?
Anyways,
today we did another amazing thing.. We went to the
Chillagoe caves. God it was so beautiful. Apparently there was 600 to 1000
caves.
The Chillagoe Caves are significant aboriginal art and it was amazing
seeing something this old yet so beautiful. It was a bit painful tho.. It was
very tiring to walk around for hours.
Got to go now! Hugs
Inyana.
Hi mom! Today we went bungee jumping.
We started the day with eating a good tasting
breakfast at the hotel, including pancakes and some of my favorite fruits. So
the day started pretty well! When we were done eating my friend that I’m here with said “we
haven’t got many days left in Sydney. Shouldn’t we go bungee jumping?
My first thought was that I’ll die if I do it, but I
actually like to challenge my fears so why not!
We found a place that was like an hour from our house,
where there was this company with professional bungee-jumpers that “worked”
there. We felt pretty safe with choosing that company because it had many good
reviews.
And then I actually did it, and let me tell you. It
was literally TERRIFYING. But it feels good that I dared. I would be so disappointed if I went there but didn’t do the actual jump.
Anyways, I’m going to sleep now.
See you soon.

Hello mom!
Today we thought we would just hit the beach and chill. After sun tanning
for a few hours we decided to go to Chinatown which is a place with
traditional Chinese things.
It was like a festival with Chinese food and music and
so on. We really enjoyed it!
We also met a new friend! He is from Sweden, so we
will probably stay in touch. His name is Andrew! We asked him why he came here
to Australia and he said that he was just a tourist, just like us! It also turned
out that we are going home with the same flight! Funny right?
We returned to the hotel pretty early so we decided to
swim in the hotel-pool.
After that we went to a spa! Very relaxing after an
intense week.
Tomorrow we’re going to Brisbane.

Hi!
Today we climbed the Brisbane story bridge for 2 and a half hours. It’s actually one
of three bridges in the world that can be climbed! I’m so proud of myself. It
was so cool! It was so cool climbing a bridge! It was so cool but it was absolutely terrifying. I mean just the
thought of falling.. Even though we had equipment I was scared. I was scared
cause I thought my knee was going to fail on me again.. But surprisingly it
didn’t. This was actually the last day of our trip and i already want to go
back and experience everything again and hopefully I will. Bye!
